The Stratford Country Club is a shareholder-owned club that traces its beginnings back to 1896 when William Maynard began golfing in the open fields north of the Avon River. The present club was chartered in November 1913 with 50 original shareholders.

Today the Stratford Country Club boasts a membership of more than 800 golf, curling, and squash members. The club’s vibrant membership is evident in the participation levels, commitment to ongoing improvement and high level of social interaction.
