Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge is the oldest continually owned family resort in Minnesota. Joseph Ruttger began a century-plus tradition when he opened the resort on the shores of Bay Lake in 1898. Having grown in popularity over the years, adding Minnesota’s first resort golf course in 1921, and then a second 18-hole championship course.

Alec’s 9 Course is Minnesota’s first resort golf course. This par 33 is a true classic, designed to challenge golfers of all abilities. Perfect for juniors, seniors or those who like a shorter course. One of the Brainerd Lakes Area’s only nine-hole course.

Jack’s 18 Course is one of the most scenic northern Minnesota golf courses in the area winding through forests of maple, oak, birch, aspen, and the majestic Norway pines. The par 72 rolls gently alongside the placid waters of natural lakes Goose and Bass. Quite simply a must-play Brainerd Lakes area golf course. The course, formerly known as The Lakes Course, was renamed in 2018 for Ruttger’s Chairman, Jack Ruttger
