There’s a secret that a lot of southern Alberta golfers would like to keep to themselves. Tucked quietly away outside the town of Magrath, nestled in a gently undulating landscape well guarded by trees, is an 18-hole golf course that is known within hushed circles as the Hidden Gem of the South.
Established in 1925, Magrath Golf Club is one of oldest golf courses in Alberta, and its long standing reputation as a must play course is well deserved. Pristinely manicured fairways, lush landscaping and beautiful vistas are the visual enticements that draw players to the course, but its challenging natural layout, quick greens, and risk vs. reward design keep them coming back time and time again.
