The Lowville Golf Club was originally built in 1973 by the Gudgeon Family who had lived on the family farm that was converted into the new golf course. The Gudgeon family had local roots and where well known and respected in Lowville as well as other local communities. They understood the new found popularity of the game and the opportunity for growth that laid ahead as the forged into the new business of golf. They successfully operated the Golf Course as a family business until 1998, at which time it was sold to its current ownership group that operates it today.
