Knollwood Golf Club is a country side, 36 hole golf facility founded in 1970 by Jack Harris, one of the most respected golf course superintendents in Canadian history. After serving as superintendent at St. Georges Golf Club and Hamilton Golf and Country Club, Jack purchased a 50-acre farm in Ancaster and began to layout the property in 1968. In 1970, The “Old Course” at Knollwood opened as an 18 hole course and expanded to 36 holes with the complementing of the “New Course” in 1990.

Under the leadership of superintendent Darwin Howard, previously of Taboo, Horseshoe Valley and Silver Brooke golf clubs, considerable facility and course condition improvements have been made to both courses in recent years. Both parkland facilities are very mature with mature trees, rolling fairways and gentle rolling greens. Anchored by two converted barns providing clubhouse amenities and noticeable friendly staff, be sure to meet before or after your round as the food and drink at Knollwood is a great addition to your day.
